Don’t let that take away your appreciation of all the blessings that surround you. Get out of that craving for more and more that leaves you with a crushing feeling of emptiness.

You and I know how to get out. That’s why we are here.

We created Bright Island Outreach (BIO) so people like you and us can remember how happiness is always within our reach. But health is not.

Teams, Families and Partners

Everyone is welcome! Not having any knowledge of dental care is no problem, as long as they want to help.

Each person has a different set of skills we can use: translators, clinic assistants, coordinators, or just entertaining the patients who are waiting.

Take advantage of the special discounts for groups and travel with your friends!

A Trip With Purpose

Hear the waves, the exotic birds, the peace.

Hear the laughter, the upbeat music, and the admiration when seeing a new better smile.

Oh, and the drilling!

On these missions, you will learn about the Dominican culture, enjoy its amazing landscape, and have a lot of fun while bringing health to their never-fading smiles.

As a side benefit, we discovered that during the experience all volunteers also gained empathy and learned to improve their patient care.

We are not affiliated with any religion nor do we belong to any educational institute. But there’s something that we all share: we are a bunch of people involved in dental care that wish to gather with similar to help communities in need.

These trips have a specific purpose: to bring oral health and education to disadvantaged people, learn, gain experience, and get to know the Dominican Republic in a different way.

“I am just blown away by how transformative the whole experience was [...] After the trips I felt so nourished, so alive.”

Dr. Diana

Hop on a plane to the lush jungle and white-sand beaches of the Dominican Republic to transform lives and communities.

Improving Smiles Since 2012

The Team

REVIVE Mission is a joint work between Dental Yoguis and Bright Island Outreach

Immerse in the lush Dominican Republic to revive the experience of being alive and present.

Dr. JONATHAN DÍAZ

After working as a dentist in Spain, Jonathan felt frustrated returning to a lower quality of life in the Dominican Republic.

That’s why his mother convinced him to help missionaries in a batey as a supervisor.

Witnessing students and retired foreign dentists selflessly serving his people inspired him. He continued assisting for operations across the country and beyond.

So in 2013, Jonathan, Dr. Eric, and Doug decided to create Bright Island Outreach to organize missions independently. Jonathan shifted his focus from traditional patient care to serve those in need, which brings him greater fulfillment.

But what about the volunteers’ wellness? He had to plan something with Cristian too.
